Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to common questions about Restore Joy's services, eligibility, and programs.

How do I know if I qualify for financial support for services?

After filling out our services request form, someone from our team will contact you to discuss your situation and needs. We evaluate eligibility based on financial need and available resources. Our goal is to help as many people as possible access the mental health care they need.

The qualification process is confidential and compassionate. We understand that asking for help can be difficult, and we're here to support you through the process.

What ages qualify for services?

We will help any age that qualifies for services. Mental health challenges don't discriminate by age, and neither do we. Whether you're seeking support for yourself, a child, a teenager, or an older adult, we're here to help connect you with appropriate mental health services.

Our Counselor Connection network includes professionals who work with various age groups and specialize in different areas of mental health care.

How many counseling sessions will I be able to get help with?

The amount of sessions or services depends on the individual need and resources available. When you apply for support, we'll work with you to understand your mental health needs and develop an appropriate support plan.

Our goal is to provide meaningful support that makes a real difference in your mental health journey. The number of sessions is determined on a case-by-case basis, taking into account:

  • Your specific mental health needs and treatment goals
  • The type and intensity of support recommended by your counselor
  • Available resources and funding at the time of your request
  • Your progress and ongoing needs throughout treatment

We're committed to supporting you for as long as resources allow and your needs require.

Can I continue to see the counselor I already have?

Yes! If you qualify and your counselor accepts the program, you can continue seeing your current counselor through Restore Joy's support. We understand the importance of continuity in therapeutic relationships and want to support ongoing care whenever possible.

We will contact providers not yet partnered with Restore Joy to establish the relationship, or you can have your counselor complete a partner form to expedite the process. This helps ensure you can continue the important work you've already begun with a counselor you trust.

If your counselor is interested in joining our network, direct them to our Counselor Connection page for more information.

Can someone come to our group and speak about your program?

Yes! After submitting a speaker request form, representatives from Restore Joy will contact you to discuss visiting your group to talk about our services and mental health topics.

We offer presentations and educational seminars for:

  • Community organizations and nonprofits
  • Faith-based groups and churches
  • Schools and educational institutions
  • Businesses and workplaces
  • Support groups and community gatherings
  • Any group interested in mental health awareness

Our presentations can be tailored to your group's specific interests and needs. Topics may include mental health awareness, suicide prevention, reducing stigma, available resources, and how to support loved ones with mental health challenges.
